Jill Fuselli
Registered EC Coach, fully insured Wild Rose Steward. As a young girl my love for animals ran deep. Moving to Maple Ridge, the horse capital of BC, was where i got the "horse bug". My parents purchased my first horse when I was 14 and I immediately joined the Pony Club. I was a permanent fixture at our club's home base Maple Ridge Equisport Center. This is where I was exposed to great instructors like Zolton Stehlo, Nancy Olson and clinicians like Gali Ross, Peter Holmes and Ashley Holtzer. I had the opportunity to compete in all three english disciplines, hunter jumper, dressage and three day eventing. I took a part time job teaching for the Pacific Riding for the Disabled ( PRDA) and this eventually led me to being the resident coach at MREC in 1993. In 1997 I married my husband and moved to Calgary AB. We started our family of three children and I worked at different barns in the area teaching lessons and buying /selling horses. In 2009 we took the plunge and our family purchased our own equine facility. Eastwood Stables in Acme AB. Eastwood became a successful hunter jumper training barn producing many young riders and horses. I loved every bit of our time at the farm but as we got older and my children grew and left home we decided to make a change. We sold the farm in December of 2022 and now we reside in the town of Okotoks AB. I have such a love for the sport and enjoy sharing my knowledge with young people especially. My strengths are great communication skills and many years of experience. I coach my students to be good horse people first, building the partnership between horse and rider, and of course to have fun! Currently I am a contracted coach at WillowGrove Stables working with a great mentor Trish Mrakawa. |
